Questions
Admissions are conducted throughout the year depending on availability of space; however, the admissions portal is opened in January through June with classes starting in July each year for postgraduate courses and September for Masters Courses.
As soon as your request has been received, reviewed and accepted. You can view your admission letter on the application page you used. A copy is also shared on the mail that was used during the application.
Through the Students Portal (https://students.umi.ac.ug) Login and Generate Payment Reference Number (A Yellow Button on top of the Opened Page). That Number is then used in the Bank or Mobile Money to Make Payments.
Once a student has successfully logged in to your student’s portal, select (Registration/enrollment track) Option then, generate an Exam Permit but only after full registration and completion of tuition but if not registered then it will require you to first register before proceeding.
IDs are obtained by students who have completed full registration with the Registrar. After registration, your name is included on the class list of your Course. You are always requested to visit the IT help desk to take ID Photos and for more information about your student ID.
